Feast of Tabernacles

BUILDING THE TEMPLE
The Feast of Tabernacles is the last of the seven feasts of God. It is the final feast in the Feast of Tabernacles group, following the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. It is celebrated from the 15th to the 22nd of the seventh month.
Leviticus 23:33 The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the Lord’s Festival of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days. The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. For seven days present food offerings to the Lord, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present a food offering to the Lord. It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work.’”
Origin of the Feast of Tabernacles
After coming down from Mount Sinai with the second set of Ten Commandments, Moses explained the work of building the tabernacle—a portable sanctuary for worshiping God (Exodus 34:27-35). Those who were willing offered various materials for its construction. For seven days, Israelites brought gold, silver, linen and wood. God designated these days as the Feast of Tabernacles and commanded the Israelites to celebrate it generation after generation. To commemorate the building of the tabernacle, the Israelites built booths made of tree branches. This is why this feast is also known as the Feast of Booths.
Meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles
In the Bible, people are sometimes referred to as wood (Jeremiah 5:14), and the people of God are considered temple material (Revelation 3:12). During the Feast of Tabernacles, which is also called the Feast of Ingathering, temple materials are joyfully gathered and presented to God; the New Covenant is preached and all those willing to hear come to receive the Holy Spirit.
John 7:37-39 On the last and most important day of the feast [of Tabernacles] Jesus stood up and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. If anyone believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from that person’s heart, as the Scripture says.” Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit.
Celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles Today
Today, the World Mission Society Church of God celebrates the Feast of Tabernacles according to the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong. For seven days, willing members preach to gather temple materials as offerings to God. And on the last and greatest day of the feast, all those who believe receive the Holy Spirit from the Spirit and the Bride.
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
